We collect the minimum we need to do the work, use it only for that, and never sell or share it for marketing. Last updated 8 August 2026.

Who we are

Clapham Electricians (https://www.electricianclapham.com) is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@electricianclapham.com or on 020 3051 8891.

What we collect

When you submit the callback form we collect your name, phone number, postcode, the type of work you need, and — only if you choose to give them — your email address, urgency, property type and any message. We also record which page you submitted from, so we know which parts of the site are useful.

If you call us, we keep a record of your name, number, address and the work discussed, because we need it to do the job and to certify it afterwards.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your details to contact you about the work, to attend and carry it out, to issue certificates, and to keep the records that electrical certification requires. The lawful basis is performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one. Where certification records are required by the Building Regulations or by our competent-person scheme, the basis is legal obligation.

We do not use your details for marketing. We do not send newsletters. We will not contact you about anything other than the job you asked about.

Who we share it with

Our hosting and infrastructure providers process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email delivery) and Airtable (our internal job desk). Each acts only on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

Where a job is notifiable under Part P, we submit the certificate to our competent-person scheme, which notifies your local authority building control. That is a legal requirement and includes the property address.

We never sell your details, and we never pass them to third parties for marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted after 12 months. Records relating to completed work are kept for six years, which is how long we may need them for certification, warranty and limitation-period purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased where we have no continuing obligation to keep it, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Email hello@electricianclapham.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and uses no third-party analytics that profile you across sites. Nothing here requires a consent banner because nothing here tracks you.
