Tonsleys cottages have the fewest sockets of anywhere we work — often two per room — and the solid walls mean every addition is a chase and make-good. We strongly recommend doing a whole property in one visit here, because the access cost dwarfs the socket cost. Southfields houses take downlights and kitchen lighting easily thanks to accessible voids. In the riverside blocks, ceilings are often concrete soffit with a shallow MF ceiling below, which limits downlight depth — we check before quoting rather than discovering it on site.
The property types we see in Wandsworth
The Tonsleys are 1850s–1870s two-up two-down cottages, small, solid-walled and with almost no floor void — which makes every cable run a chase. Southfields is the 1900s grid between the common and the district line, larger and mostly still whole houses. Earlsfield is smaller Victorian terrace, heavily converted to flats. The riverside developments — Ram Quarter, Wandsworth Riverside Quarter — are new-build with three-phase supplies, heat networks and, importantly for us, sprinkler and alarm interfaces that mean electrical work often has to be coordinated with the building's fire strategy.

Getting to you in Wandsworth
Wandsworth is our furthest patch and the response time reflects the traffic on Trinity Road and the one-way system rather than the mileage. Old York Road and the Tonsleys have very limited parking and narrow streets. The riverside blocks all require concierge sign-in and most require a permit to work for anything beyond a basic repair, which we handle but which needs a day's notice.
